Rev. James Cone and Black Liberation Theology

Speaker:
Service Type:

Across the UUA congregations are responding to a comprehensive report from the Commission on Institutional Change. The report is entitled "Widening the Circle" and it is available as a PDF.  It's a long, complex report and we at KUUF are beginning to respond to its calls. I will continue our introductory review of the report and take up one of its suggestions---that congregations, "Center the theological work of Black scholars, Indigenous scholars and scholars of color whose knowledge is resonant for our times."  We'll center the theological work of Rev. Dr. James Cone at this service.
