“When God created human beings,” wrote Elie Wiesel, “we were given a secret. That secret was not how to begin — for that prerogative is God’s alone — but rather how to begin again.” As human beings, we are always faced with the challenge of beginning again, in the middle of things. We can never go ‘back to scratch’ and start over but must recollect ourselves where we are and move forward with new resolve into the future.
